Welcome to the Extras page

So you've found the extras page and your wondering what its all about. Well the lads do little extra things from time to time, like BBQ's, snowboarding and days of golf. So we thought it would be great if they had there own special page.

Scottish Lads BBQ page

The Scottish Lads like to have a BBQ and we all think we can cook, well its not really hard on a BBQ. Most of the photos are sent directlly to the photolog so remember and visit it.

Lamb Kebabs coated in a Garden Mint Sauce

A must have at any BBQ i think, first take a visit to your local butcher and get the most succulent chunks of lamb they have. Cover them in a mint glaze or sauce (pop down to your local Tesco and get some).Slide them onto some skewers and cook on the BBQ until crisp and ready.

JD & Coke Trout in newspaper

Barbecued fish is fantastic - serve this with a cucumber and yoghurt dressing.
The first bit is really easy. Make a 50/50 JD and Coke (Pan Measure) Cut two lemon slices and put in the JD and leave for ten minutes.
Insert the lemons, with some mint, inside the gutted trout.
Wrap the fish in a newspaper, and soak under a tap. Lay the parcel onto the barbecue.
When the newspaper is completely dry, the fish will be cooked and with careful unwrapping, the skin is removed with the newspaper. Simple! While you wait, drink the JD an Coke!

Baked potato with Stilton and prawns

Firstly wrap the potato in tin foil. Depending on the time available, either start the baked potato in the oven, or place it on the barbecue or directly on the hot coals.
When its nearly cooked, cut a cross in the top of it and insert some smallprawns and crumble blue Stilton cheese into the cavity.
Wrap back in the tin foil and cook for a further ten minutes.
The result is stunning and again while your waiting you can have another JD and Coke!

Barbecued Orange Chicken

Sounds fantastic and tastes even better, firstly as you know everyone will want a taste get two or three pieces of chicken. Now preparation is the key to this dish, you'll need the following:
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
1/2 cup white wine vinegar
1/4 cup tomato paste1 orange zest, removed with grater
Mix all the above ingredients together until smooth.
Make some small cuts into the chicken and cover the whole chicken in the sauce, place the chicken on the BBQ.
Turn the chicken from time totime making sure that the sauce doesn't burn. Make sure chicken is fully cooked and enjoy.
